The health, safety and security of our guests are our highest priority at Hillgarth. Please take a moment to read how we are providing a safe environment to welcome our guests.
Please note: all Covid-19 policies are based on current UK government guidelines and are being constantly reviewed based on the latest advice. With changes that happen at short notice the owners at Hillgarth will do our upmost to update you as soon as practicably possible should circumstances change.
Some of the practices we are undertaking at Hillgarth to help minimise risks:
Our housekeeping team will wear appropriate PPE whilst cleaning the house including gloves. They will take extra time and care to sanitise door handles, light switches, remote controls and any regularly touched items and areas. We will air the house thoroughly between stays. Our accommodation is always cleaned to a high standard and we intend to meet, maintain or exceed these standards before your arrival. We also have purchased a fogging machine which we use to sanitise the whole house when we have finished our thorough cleaning schedule, the fogging machine sprays a very fine mist of antibacterial spray over all surfaces; the house will then get a final airing before being locked ready for our guests stay.
We will provide Hand Sanitiser at the entrance and we require that you and your entire group use this upon entering the house. We will also provide gloves, surface sanitiser and antibacterial hand soaps in the kitchen & bathroom.
We ask that all guests follow the government guidelines of social distancing and washing /sanitise hands regularly. This is the sole responsibility of the guests.
It is important that all guests depart no later than 10am and do not arrive before 3pm, so there is no crossover between our staff & guests; this also allows as much time as possible to air and sanitise the property.
If you would like an earlier arrival time than 3pm this needs to be discussed & agreed with us in advance of your arrival.
We also ask that you make sure the house is clean & tidy on departure, you have removed all rubbish from all bins and elsewhere & placed them in the green bin provided in the garage before you leave, please check you have taken all your belongings as you will not be able to re-enter Hillgath after departure.
If you could assist us in protecting our team, please strip all the used bedding and put the linen on the floor in each bedroom as written in our house manual, also place all used towels in the bath. This will enormously reduce the ‘handling’ of used bed linen & towels and in turn reduce risk to staff.
We would like to thank you for your co-operation in these challenging times, with the above measures to protect us all. Together we can all stay safe & well, this will allow us all to continue to enjoy this beautiful landscape that is the wonderful South Lake District.
Thank you,
Paul & Jo Jones
